My name is Márton "Moth" Ferenczi. I got drawn into the world of music production at a young age - surrounded by the hum of gear, the fine details of mixing, and the magic of sound design. It also mattered a great deal that my mother worked as a sound engineer, so audio technology and studio work were never distant to me, but a natural environment. This background instilled in me, early on, a deep respect for the sound engineering profession, and laid the foundation for everything I do today.
Building on this foundation, I pursued formal studies in sound engineering. Throughout my training, I further deepened my technical knowledge and honed my practical skills. I studied the science and art of recording, mixing, and mastering, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both the creative and technical sides of sound production.
Alongside my formal education, I also earned a professional sound engineering qualification at the 1G Producer School in Budapest. This certification not only confirmed my expertise but also equipped me with advanced techniques and industry-standard methods. It reinforced my commitment to quality and the passion to deliver the best possible sound on every project.
Today, Moth Production is also a team effort: my partner is Árpád Halász Illés, whom many may know from From the Sky. A graduate of the A38 Academy, his main focus is the world of percussion instruments - he holds a degree in it, and he brings that focus to every recording, edit, and sound-building process. His presence adds particular value when it comes to capturing the power, dynamics, and detail of drums and percussion in a way that's both brutal and clean at the same time.
Every project calls for a different space and a different atmosphere. That's why we work across several purpose-optimized locations: from the control room built for precise mixing and mastering, to the tracking space set up specifically for drum recording. The common thread is the same: reliable technology, thoughtfully designed acoustics, and a working environment where raw energy becomes a controlled, powerful final result.

Record Low Studio is a downtown Budapest studio where the focus is strongly on band recordings, particularly drum recording. The studio's sound is "analog-flavored," and according to their own communication, analog outboard gear is not just decoration - it is part of the workflow, both during tracking and post-production.
